A sponsor was found to supply wages for  schoolteachers, for a period of three years!  With that message we were received bij The Secretary of State for Basic and Secondary Education, Mrs Fatou Lamin Faye.

After three years, the population of Jinack must be able to pay the teachers themselves, out of the income generated by two new projects that will be launched: Poultry and vegetables/fruit.

Starting this season 2008/2009, five(!) new teachers, including a headmaster, are posted on Jinack by the Department. All stationery needed for the 250 children will be funded by 2BaB Foundation.

 The Department did a spendid job, in their smooth follow-up. They will even try to bring decent housing for the teachers to the island.

With the education on Jinack, the children on the island have a future!
