The project, which is now really taking shape, was visited once again at the end of December. Because true life images give a better understanding than a thousand words we made a movie of the progress on the project, which can be viewed by pressing the link below.

According to our schedule the building will be finished at the end of March. The biggest job now is the transportation of 20 thousand stones to the island, with a weight of 10 kilo each. A logistic dream!

Besides, the end of all logistic problems is in sight: the Dutch constructor Ballast Nedam has committed itself to connect the island with the mainland by building a combination of an embankment and bridge that will be approximately 100 meters long before the next rainy season: a marvellous offer!

This leaves us to wish everybody a happy -and especially healthy- 2009.
