|
It is once again time for an update about the activities on Jinack, The Gambia. This update is especially directed towards the sponsors of the project and everyone who is concerned with the benefit of Jinack.
Construction The construction of the clinic has come to its final phase. The finishing has started: the floors have been coated with an epoxy layer from a sponsor, sanitary fittings have been installed, as well as ceilings, fans, sockets and lights. The solar power and water supply system are running. Tiling and painting are about to be finished. Soon we will begin furnishing the building. See the results below.
Staffing of the clinic We are pleased to report that the Department for Health have arranged staff for the clinic. The Head Nurse, Mr. Sanna Keita, who is working in a hospital on shore at the moment, will be in charge of the clinic together with two assistants. One of these days they will arrive on the island. The Department for Health has also proposed to provide four staff members for cleaning and caretaking purposes. The expected opening of the clinic is at hand.
